Kannada superstar Yash, known for his acclaimed performances, has been making appearances at recent private events, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the announcement of his next film. Rumours had been circulating that Yash was approached to portray the character of Ravan in Nitesh Tiwari’s adaptation of Ramayan, but sources from the Kannada film industry have clarified that these reports are untrue. Yash currently has no plans to take on a negative role in his career.
Sources have revealed that Yash is mindful of his fans’ expectations and understands that they would not be receptive to seeing him in a negative role at the moment. He has always prioritized his fans’ sentiments and will not be taking up the role of Ravan. Previously, Hrithik Roshan was also reportedly approached for the role but declined the offer.
While fans eagerly await Yash’s next project, no official updates have been provided regarding Yash 19. Initial reports suggested that director Narthan would helm the project, but it is now said that Narthan is occupied with the Shiva Rajkumar film. Additionally, rumours about Yash working with Malayalam actor and director Geethu Mohandas on a gangster film circulated, but no confirmation has been made.
Yash’s most recent appearance on the big screen was in the highly successful KGF: Chapter 2, which achieved great success at the box office, grossing over ₹1000 crore globally. The film had a massive release on over 10,000 screens worldwide and set a record as the largest release for a Kannada film, with dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
