In a recent revelation, popular actor Vijay Deverakonda shared an intriguing insight into his approach to love and relationships. On the occasion of his 34th birthday, an interview resurfaced where the talented star confessed that he has never said the words “I love you too” in any of his relationships.
During an interview with GQ, Vijay opened up about his perspective on love, admitting that he is someone who loves being in love and believes in love stories. However, he also expressed his fear of heartbreak, which has prevented him from reciprocating those three words in his romantic relationships so far.
The actor revealed that he had imbibed his father’s advice during his upbringing, which instilled in him the belief that love is insignificant compared to the importance of money. This deep-rooted notion made him sceptical about relationships and led him to believe that people approached him with ulterior motives. Consequently, whenever someone expressed their love for him, he refrained from responding with “I love you too.” He admitted that even today, it doesn’t come as naturally as it should.
However, Vijay shared that this changed when he had a long-term relationship with a woman, though he chose not to disclose her identity. Despite persistent rumours linking him with actress Rashmika Mandanna, both Vijay and Rashmika have clarified that they are best friends.
On the professional front, Vijay Deverakonda is currently working on the film “Kushi” alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Under the direction of Shiva Nirvana, the romantic comedy has been in production for several months and is scheduled for release on September 1.
In addition to “Kushi,” Vijay has a lineup of exciting projects in the pipeline. He will be seen in the film “Jana Gana Mana,” which faced initial rumours of cancellation after the setback of “Liger.” However, producer Charmme Kaur later dismissed the speculations, and the project will be helmed by the renowned director Puri Jagannadh.
Vijay Deverakonda’s candid revelation about his unconventional approach to love and relationships has sparked curiosity among fans and followers. With his upcoming films, including “Kushi” and “Jana Gana Mana,” the talented actor continues to make headlines both for his on-screen performances and his unique perspectives on matters of the heart.
