Renowned for her exceptional acting prowess and emotive performances, Trisha Krishnan remains a prominent figure in the South Indian film industry. While celebrated for her roles in various successful ventures, the actress recently found herself embroiled in a controversy about her promotional commitments for the film Paramapadham Vilayattu.
According to reported claims in 2021, Trisha was purportedly accused of demanding a significant sum of 15 lakhs for promotional activities for the political thriller Paramapadham Vilayattu directed by K. Thirugnanam. Despite the remuneration, it was alleged that Trisha did not attend the promotional events, leading to dissatisfaction among the film’s producers and fellow cast members. There has been no official confirmation from the actress or her representatives regarding these allegations.
Stressing the importance of Trisha’s participation in the film’s promotions, the producers highlighted the positive impact her involvement could have on the film’s visibility, particularly for other budding cast members striving to establish themselves in the industry. Reports suggested that failing to fulfil her promotional obligations might result in a reimbursement request for the fees allocated for the promotion.
Paramapadham Vilayattu, a political thriller directed by K. Thirugnanam, features Trisha alongside newcomer Vijay Varmaa in pivotal roles. The movie, also starring Nandha Durairaj, AL Azhagappan, Richard Rishi, and Sona Hayden, received a mixed reception from the audience upon its release.
Despite the controversy, Trisha remains a significant presence in the industry, with her upcoming projects generating considerable excitement among fans and critics alike. Her role in Thalapathy Vijay’s much-anticipated film Leo, helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, has already garnered substantial attention ahead of its release on October 19. Additionally, her appearances in Mohanlal’s Ram: Part 1 directed by Jeethu Joseph and Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Vidaa Muyarchi directed by Magizh Thirumeni have further amplified the anticipation surrounding her future endeavors.
