‘The Kerala Story’ Emerges Strong at the Box Office, Collects Over Rs 35 Crore in the Opening Weekend

The Adah Sharma-starrer ‘The Kerala Story‘ has witnessed a phenomenal opening weekend at the Indian box office, despite being embroiled in political controversy. The film, directed by Sudipto Sen, managed to collect double-digit figures on both Saturday and Sunday, following its Rs 8.03 crore nett opening on Friday. This impressive collection is noteworthy, especially considering that ‘The Kerala Story’ faced tough competition from the much-anticipated Marvel superhero film, ‘Guardians of The Galaxy Vol. 3’, starring Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana. Although the superhero flick garnered a decent weekend collection of Rs. 24 crore nett across all versions, it couldn’t overshadow the success of ‘The Kerala Story’.
