The excitement surrounding Thalapathy Vijay‘s upcoming venture with director Venkat Prabhu hit a hurdle when Tollywood director Naresh Kuppili raised objections to the film’s title, ‘The Greatest of All Time‘ (GOAT). Reports suggest that Kuppili, known for ‘Paagal’ and currently working on a project titled GOAT, expressed concerns over the shared title, citing ongoing promotional activities for his film.

This isn’t the first instance where a Vijay-starrer encountered title-related issues. The film ‘Leo,’ helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, faced similar contention before its release. Allegations were made regarding ownership rights to the title, leading to legal disputes. Ultimately, the resolution reportedly occurred after compensatory measures were taken by the makers of Vijay’s film.

‘The Greatest of All Time’ marks a maiden collaboration between Vijay and Venkat Prabhu, boasting a star-studded ensemble cast featuring Meenakshi Chaudhary, Mic Mohan, Jayaram, Prabhu Deva, Yogi Babu, and more in pivotal roles. The film’s title reveal, accompanied by compelling first and second-look posters, intensified the already fervent anticipation.

The unveiled posters portray Thalapathy Vijay in a dual role, possibly as a father and son. One depicts them walking away from a parachute landing, with a military aircraft soaring overhead. Another showcases Vijay riding a motorcycle, and dual-wielding firearms, drawing comparisons to Hollywood’s ‘Gemini Man,’ fueling speculations about a potential remake.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, ‘GOAT’ entrusts the musical brilliance of Yuvan Shankar Raja. Siddhartha Nuni handles the cinematography while editing responsibilities rest in the hands of Venkat Raaju.

As the buzz amplifies and controversies linger, fans eagerly await further developments, anticipating Vijay’s charismatic presence and the cinematic brilliance that ‘The Greatest of All Time’ promises to deliver.
