Thalapathy Vijay’s Next Film Confirmed with Director Venkat Prabhu

The much-awaited news for Thalapathy Vijay‘s fans is finally here! The popular Tamil actor has officially announced his next film after “Leo,” and it will be directed by none other than Venkat Prabhu. The film’s production will be handled by AGS Entertainment, making it their 25th venture and reportedly their biggest project to date. This exciting announcement comes after earlier rumours suggested that the film would be helmed by Gopichand Mallineni.

Thalapathy Vijay took to Twitter back in May to share a video, where he revealed that his next film would be directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by AGS Entertainment. The creative producer for the project will be Archana Kalpathi. This collaboration marks the second time AGS Entertainment and Vijay are teaming up, following their successful partnership in the blockbuster film “Bigil.”

The announcement tweet quickly went viral, accumulating over two hundred thousand likes and nearly 12 million views. Fans expressed their excitement by flooding the comments section with enthusiastic messages like “Thalaiva.” The film’s music will be composed by the renowned Yuvan Shankar Raja. As of now, the film is anticipated to hit theatres in 2024, building up the anticipation among Vijay’s loyal fan base.

According to reports, Venkat Prabhu had previously shared a one-liner story with Vijay when rumours of their collaboration began to surface. The initial discussion took place while Vijay was filming his last project, “Varisu.” However, to prevent any future leaks, Venkat Prabhu took precautions after some information about the film was leaked. Suspecting one of his assistant directors to be involved in the leaks, he ensured that the details remained under tight wraps.

Currently, Thalapathy Vijay is busy shooting for his upcoming film “Leo,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The highly anticipated movie, set to release on October 19, features an impressive cast that includes Sanjay Dutt and Trisha.
