Telangana Woman Murders Husband for ₹8 Crore, Disposes of Body 800 km Away

In a shocking case from Uppal, Telangana, a woman named Niharika has been arrested for allegedly murdering her husband, Ramesh, in a bid to seize assets valued at ₹8 crore. The crime unfolded on October 1 when Ramesh, a 55-year-old businessman, reportedly refused to transfer property into her name.

Accompanied by her lover, Nikhil, and another accomplice, Ankur, Niharika allegedly executed the brutal plan before transporting Ramesh’s body over 800 kilometers to a remote coffee estate in Kodagu, Karnataka, where it was later discovered burnt and unidentifiable.

The investigation began three weeks later when authorities found the charred remains in the plantation. Identifying the body proved difficult until detectives reviewed CCTV footage that captured a red car linked to Ramesh, whose wife had filed a missing person report.

Upon further inquiry, the Telangana police connected with their Karnataka counterparts, uncovering a web of deceit. Niharika’s complicated history emerged: she had previously been married, became a mother, and was later divorced. Following a stint in prison for financial fraud in Haryana, she married Ramesh while simultaneously maintaining a relationship with Nikhil.

As investigators delved deeper, suspicions grew around Niharika. During questioning, she confessed to the murder and implicated her accomplices, revealing the chilling motive behind the crime. The case highlights the extremes some may go to in pursuit of wealth and raises concerns about domestic violence and manipulation.
