Suriya and Sudha Kongara’s Much-Awaited Collaboration Set to Begin Shooting This Month

After their triumphant venture with “Soorarai Potru,” Suriya and director Sudha Kongara are all set to collaborate once again for an upcoming project that promises a captivating narrative. As per recent updates shared by influencer Amutha Bharathi, the auspicious pooja ceremony for the film is anticipated to be held during the third week of January, aligning closely with the festive vibes of Pongal. Following this ceremony, the shoot is scheduled to commence in the aftermath of the celebrations.
Preparations for the film are in full swing as set construction is actively underway at Madurai American College, with additional shooting schedules planned across various locations including Trichy and Chidambaram. Suriya, in particular, is dedicatedly prepping for his role, striving to portray the character of a college student convincingly.
The musical dimension of the film, helmed by GV Prakash, has already seen significant progress, with the accomplished composer crafting four songs. Notably, two of these tracks have already undergone complete development and recording, marking GV Prakash’s landmark 100th musical endeavour since his debut in 2006.
In a recent social media post, GV Prakash Kumar shared a snapshot alongside director Sudha Kongara and singer Dhee, marking the successful completion of the first recording session for the film.
The much-anticipated “Suriya 43” is expected to delve into the socio-political landscape of the 1960s, reflecting the protests against the imposition of Hindi over the widely spoken Tamil language. The storyline revolves around college politics, and Suriya is set to essay the role of a college student in this compelling narrative. The film boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya Nazim, and Vijay Varma, as previously announced via a motion poster.
Meanwhile, on Suriya’s work front, the actor is currently wrapping up the final shoots for “Kanguva,” directed by Siva. This film is touted to be a milestone in Tamil cinema, featuring notable actors like Bobby Deol and Disha Patani in their Tamil film debuts. Anticipated for a release in early 2024, “Kanguva” holds the promise of being an extravagant cinematic spectacle.
Furthermore, Suriya is set to collaborate with director Vetrimaaran for the much-awaited film “Vaadivaasal,” presently in pre-production, albeit facing slight delays due to prior commitments of the director.
