Since his breakthrough role in the 2013 film Prema Katha Chitram, Sudheer Babu has experienced the full spectrum of success and challenges in his career. Now, after over a decade of working in the industry, he is excited to tackle new roles and embrace fresh opportunities. In an exclusive interview with a leading national media outlet, the actor opens up about his career trajectory, his relationship with brother-in-law Mahesh Babu, and his upcoming projects.

Sudheer Babu recently enjoyed a theatrical hit with Harom Hara, which was also released on Prime Video India earlier this month. Reflecting on his busy year, he shares, “I’ve been so busy this year, it didn’t even occur to me that we’re more than halfway through it. I’ve heard some great scripts, had a good release, finished shooting a couple of projects; it’s been great.”

In Harom Hara, where he portrayed Subrahmanyam, a weapons maker, Sudheer admits the role was challenging but rewarding. “It was such a larger-than-life character; it wasn’t easy to play it, but I’m glad people liked seeing me in such a space. They’ve made me want to step it up now and take on roles I’ve never done before. I have some exciting work lined up that is yet to be announced,” he says.

However, Sudheer’s journey hasn’t been without its difficulties. His 2023 films Hunt and Mama Mascheendra didn’t achieve the impact he hoped for. “It’s definitely not easy when you see that your films haven’t performed as well as you expected. But if I dwell too much on the past, it’ll affect my present. I always give my 100%, and I believe there’s a higher power that ultimately helps you reach your goals. Regardless of how my films fare, I know I’ve done my part,” he reflects.

Throughout his career, Sudheer has received unwavering support from Mahesh Babu. “Mahesh Babu worries for me when my films don’t do well. His concern and encouragement mean a lot to me,” Sudheer reveals.

With a positive outlook and exciting projects on the horizon, Sudheer Babu continues to navigate the ups and downs of his acting career with resilience and determination.
