Actor Rashmika Mandanna is all set to reprise her role as Srivalli, Pushpa Raj’s wife, in Sukumar’s highly anticipated sequel, “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” starring Allu Arjun. In a recent interview with Lifestyle Asia India, she shared insights into the evolution of her character from the first instalment to the upcoming sequel.
Rashmika described how playing Srivalli in “Pushpa” was challenging and enjoyable due to the spontaneity of the character. She admitted that she didn’t know much about her character in the first movie, making it difficult to play the role. However, with “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” Rashmika now feels more familiar with Srivalli and the world she inhabits, describing her character in the sequel as “Srivalli 2.0” and “super sorted.”
In “Pushpa,” Rashmika’s character, Srivalli, is initially depicted as a village belle who resists Pushpa Raj’s advances but eventually falls in love with him and becomes his wife. The first film showcases her journey from rejection to love, with Pushpa rescuing her from perilous situations.
The makers of “Pushpa” recently unveiled Rashmika’s first look as Srivalli from the sequel, “Pushpa 2: The Rule.” Her appearance, dressed in traditional attire adorned with gold accents and sporting sindoor, has garnered attention, hinting at the character’s evolved portrayal. On Allu Arjun’s birthday, a teaser was released, providing glimpses of the actor in an intriguing jatara avatar.
Besides her role in “Pushpa,” Rashmika is gearing up for diverse projects, including “Chhava” in Hindi, along with her ventures “Rainbow” and “The Girlfriend” in Telugu, promising audiences a versatile array of performances across languages.
