Sivakarthikeyan Applauds Director Atlee and Gears Up for Sci-Fi Extravaganza ‘Ayalaan’ Release

Renowned for his versatility, Sivakarthikeyan Das, a prominent figure in Tamil cinema, is preparing for the much-anticipated release of his upcoming science-fiction spectacle, ‘Ayalaan,’ under the direction of R. Ravikumar, slated to hit theatres on January 12th.
Amidst the fervour surrounding the film’s imminent release, Sivakarthikeyan shared insights into his rapport with close friend and acclaimed director Atlee during a recent interview. The Don actor lauded Atlee’s directorial prowess, expressing his admiration after watching the trailer of ‘Jawan,’ affirming there’s no turning back for Atlee. He confidently predicted the film’s monumental success, asserting that it would catapult Atlee into the limelight, marking his ascent as a celebrated director even in Bollywood.
Highlighting the significance of Atlee’s accomplishments, Sivakarthikeyan emphasized that achieving over 1000 crores in collections, a feat elusive even for many in Bollywood, deserves substantial recognition. He underscored the importance of celebrating achievements from the Tamil film industry on par with those in other industries.
Delving into ‘Ayalaan,’ directed by R. Ravikumar, the film marks the director’s second venture after the 2015 release ‘Netru Indru Naalai.’ The storyline orbits an extraterrestrial being’s accidental arrival on Earth, forming a bond with a group of humans who shield it from scientists eyeing alternative agendas.
The movie boasts an ensemble cast including Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Yogi Babu, Bhanupriya, and others, while the musical score is crafted by the legendary AR Rahman. KRJ Studios and PhantomFX Studios jointly finance the film, with Nirav Shah capturing stunning visuals as the cinematographer, and Ruben overseeing the editing process.
During the film’s audio launch, AR Rahman likened ‘Ayalaan’ to Steven Spielberg’s iconic 1982 film ‘ET,’ commending Ravikumar’s unwavering commitment to the project. Sivakarthikeyan hinted at discussions underway for a potential sequel to ‘Ayalaan’ in a recent interview, adding to the excitement among fans.
