Indian actor Siddharth Suryanarayan, widely known as Siddharth, has once again left his mark in the world of cinema with his latest release, “Chithha.” The versatile actor, who has worked across Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi film industries, has not only starred as the lead in the film but has also donned the producer’s hat for this highly intense family drama.
“Chithha” hit the silver screens on September 28, 2023, and the response from both critics and audiences has been overwhelmingly positive. Within just a week of its release, the movie managed to collect a staggering Rs 16 crore, a testament to its gripping storyline and Siddharth’s compelling performance.
To celebrate the success of “Chithha” and to connect with his fans, Siddharth was spotted at the Sri Sakthi Theatre complex in Tirupur district, Tamil Nadu, where he watched the film alongside his admirers. He graciously posed for photos with his fans and shared his joy during a media interaction.
In his own words, Siddharth expressed, “This is my dream film in my life. I see this as my first film. My fans have given a great response to this film.” He went on to acknowledge the hard work of the entire team behind “Chithha” and expressed gratitude to the people of Tamil Nadu. Siddharth also took the opportunity to thank his loyal fans who have supported him throughout his career.
Interestingly, during the promotion of the Telugu version of the film, titled “Chinna,” in Hyderabad, Siddharth revealed a touching story about the film’s distribution. Despite the movie’s simultaneous release in Tamil and Telugu on September 28, no Telugu distributor was initially willing to buy “Chithha.”
Siddharth shared, “Leading Tamil distribution house Red Giant Movies by Udhayanidhi Stalin, top Kerala distribution house Sree Gokulam Cinemas, and KGF movie’s production house- Hombale Films watched my film and told me that they have never seen a film like ‘Chithha’ and bought the distribution rights.” He also recounted that some Telugu distributors had questioned the film’s potential, asking, “Who will come to watch Siddharth’s movies?”
Directed by SU Arun Kumar, “Chithha” features a talented ensemble cast, including Nimisha Sajayan, Sahasra Sree, and Anjali Nair in significant roles. The film is produced by Etaki Entertainment under Siddharth’s production banner.
“Chithha” not only reaffirms Siddharth’s acting prowess but also establishes him as a capable producer, and its remarkable box office success adds another feather to his illustrious career in Indian cinema.
