The recent breakup between actress Shruti Haasan and her boyfriend Santanu Hazarika has stirred up headlines, prompting fans to wonder about their split. According to a report in Hindustan Times, a close source to the actress confirmed that their differences led to the breakup, stating, “They broke up last month. They decided to part ways amicably since there were personal wavelength issues.”
Shruti took a notable step by removing all traces of Santanu from her Instagram account. She further announced a hiatus from social media with a cryptic post: “It’s been a crazy ride, learning so much about myself and people. We should never be sorry for everything we can be or need to be.” The couple, living together in Mumbai, surprised many with their sudden breakup. Despite rumours of an impending marriage, their disparities apparently led to the separation.
Santanu Hazarika, an Assamese artist residing in Mumbai, is known for his visual artist, video game designer, and illustrator skills. He caught Shruti’s attention while she worked on her book, where he contributed as an illustrator and designer for her poetry. Their professional collaboration blossomed into a romantic relationship, leading them to move in together.
On the professional front, Shruti Haasan is preparing for Salaar 2. Rumours suggest her involvement in projects like Decoit, Toxic, and Superstar Rajinikanth‘s Kooli. However, no official confirmation has been made yet.
