Actress Shriya Saran opened up about the filming of her latest show, ‘Showtime,’ sharing that it was a bittersweet journey due to personal challenges. She disclosed that her daughter, Radha, suffered a burn to her hand during the series’ shoot.
Reflecting on the shooting experience, Shriya, renowned for her role in ‘Drishyam,’ expressed, “While we were shooting this show, it was a very tough time for me because my daughter had burned her hand, and I was extremely worried. But returning to the set and immersing myself in acting helped calm me down emotionally.”
She added, “The show is also very interesting. It has a lot going on. There’s a lot of undercurrents in every scene, with each having its backstory.”
Shriya tied the knot with her Russian beau, Andrei Koscheev, in March 2018. Their daughter was born in January 2021.
‘Showtime’ features Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles.
Created by Sumit Roy, with showrunner Mihir Desai and direction by Archit Kumar, the show is set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from March 8.
