Samantha Ruth Prabhu Faces Controversy Over New Song as Netizens Resurface Old Tweets

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the popular South Indian actress, has found herself amid controversy due to her latest song “Aradhya” from the upcoming film “Kushi.” A few netizens on Twitter shared a screenshot from the music video in which Vijay Deverakonda is seen keeping his leg on Samantha’s leg. These users resurfaced an old tweet from 2013 in which Samantha had criticized a regressive poster, taking a dig at her and claiming that karma had come back to haunt her.

The old tweet, from 2013, involved Samantha expressing her disapproval of a regressive poster featuring Mahesh Babu and Kriti Sanon from the film “Nenokkadine.” In her tweet, she remarked, “Saw a poster of a yet-to-be-released Telugu film. Not only is it deeply regressive, but its point is actually that it is deeply regressive (sic).”

Now, with the release of the “Aradhya” song, netizens have made Samantha’s old tweets viral, juxtaposing them with the image of Vijay Deverakonda’s leg on her. Some users also pointed out that several of Samantha’s films, including “Kushi,” have been criticized for being regressive. The backlash from netizens included comments such as “Karma hits back” and “Karma is a boomerang.”

Amidst this controversy, Samantha has completed shooting for both “Kushi” and the web series “Citadel.” The song “Aradhya” has garnered attention for its beautiful depiction of romance and cosy moments between Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha, who portray a newly married couple. The song has already become a chartbuster and a favourite among music lovers. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, “Kushi” is a highly anticipated pan-Indian film set to release worldwide on September 1.

Additionally, Samantha recently wrapped up shooting for the Indian version of the web series “Citadel,” directed by Raj and DK, known for their work on “The Family Man.” The series also features Varun Dhawan. After completing her current work commitments, Samantha is reportedly planning to take a six-month break from acting to focus on her health.

As the controversy surrounding Samantha’s old tweets resurfaces, the actress continues to forge ahead with her professional endeavours, awaiting the release of “Kushi” and looking forward to her upcoming projects.
