Sai Pallavi’s Secret Marriage Rumors Put to Rest: It Was a Film Muhurat Ceremony

Sai Pallavi, a prominent star in the South Indian film industry, has earned her place as a highly talented actress known for bringing diverse characters to life with exceptional skill. However, recently, social media was abuzz with rumours of her secret marriage, sending her fans into a frenzy. The speculations gained momentum when a picture of Sai Pallavi with Tamil filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy went viral. In the photo, both of them were seen wearing garlands, leaving many surprised and curious.

However, it didn’t take long for the truth to emerge. The news of Sai Pallavi’s secret marriage turned out to be a fabrication, and the photograph was from the mahurat (inaugural) ceremony of her upcoming film. The film, yet to be officially titled but tentatively known as SK 21, was evident from the fact that the director was holding the clapperboard with “SK 21” written on it. Rajkumar Periasamy shared this photo on May 9, 2023, which also happened to be Sai Pallavi’s birthday. Unfortunately, some users cropped the picture and shared it in a way that made it appear as if it was taken at Rajkumar and Sai Pallavi’s wedding ceremony.

SK 21 revolves around the story of an upright army officer played by Sivakarthikeyan, who leads a group of soldiers into battle against Pakistan. The film focuses on how the protagonist inspires and supports his team during this war. Raaj Kamal Films International, the production house behind SK 21, announced the film on May 9, 2022, through a tweet that read, “We are elated to welcome the talented performer @Sai_Pallavi92 on board.” The production house also shared pictures of Sai Pallavi, director Rajkumar, and Kamal Haasan.

Sivakarthikeyan retweeted this announcement and expressed his happiness at working with Sai Pallavi.

Sai Pallavi responded to Sivakarthikeyan’s tweet, saying, “Thank you! I’m elated to be working with someone as hardworking and dedicated as you are. And My best wishes to you & the team for Don!”.

It’s worth noting that there have been reports suggesting that SK 21 is based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, adding further intrigue to this highly anticipated project.
