Today marks a year since the demise of veteran Telugu actor Krishna, fondly known as Superstar by his fans. In remembrance of his legacy, a prayer meeting was held in Hyderabad, attended by Krishna’s son, the renowned actor Mahesh Babu, along with his wife Namrata Shirodkar and son Gautam Ghattamaneni.
Mahesh Babu paid homage to his father at the prayer meeting by sharing a poignant black-and-white throwback picture of Krishna on his social media handle, captioning it, “Superstar, always and forever.” His emotional tribute reflected the deep respect and admiration he holds for his father’s enduring legacy in the industry.

Renowned for his charismatic persona, vibrant dance moves, and impactful performances, Krishna starred in over 350 films, including numerous iconic hits that left an indelible mark on Telugu cinema. Krishna, survived by his children Ramesh Babu, Mahesh Babu, Padmavathi Ghattamaneni, Priyadarshini Ghattamaneni, and Manjula Ghattamaneni, was married to Indira Devi and Vijaya Nirmala. His passing marked a significant loss, compounded by the unfortunate deaths of Indira Devi and Ramesh Babu in previous years.
Amidst commemorating his father’s legacy, Mahesh Babu’s career continues to flourish. His upcoming film, ‘Guntur Kaaram,’ directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has generated considerable excitement. Boasting a stellar cast including Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, and Ramya Krishna, the film is anticipated to be a transformative project for the actor.
