Tollywood star Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their newborn, with preparations well underway. Upasana recently gave a glimpse of the baby’s handcrafted cradle, representing the couple’s aspirations for their child. The cradle, meticulously made by women carpenters who are survivors of sex trafficking, symbolizes strength, hope, resilience, and self-respect.
Taking to Instagram, Upasana shared a video showcasing the process behind the creation of the handcrafted cradle. The wooden cradle represents a “journey of transformation and self-respect” that the couple wishes their child to experience from the very beginning. The video also features endearing candid photos of the parents-to-be, radiating happiness and excitement for their forthcoming journey into parenthood. In one photo, Ram Charan is seen affectionately holding and kissing Upasana, while donning a tie-dye yellow and purple shirt, while Upasana appears radiant in a blue dress. The video is captioned with the words, “We are becoming 3.”
Expressing gratitude, Upasana conveyed her appreciation on Instagram, stating, “We are honoured & humbled to receive this heartfelt gift from the incredible young women of #PrajwalaFoundation.” She further emphasized the deep significance of the handcrafted cradle, symbolizing strength, resilience, and hope. Through this meaningful gift, Upasana aims to instil in their child a journey of transformation and self-respect right from birth.
The power couple, who recently celebrated their 11th wedding anniversary, is eagerly looking forward to welcoming their baby. Upasana has shared that the family’s excitement is running high as the due date for delivery draws near. Speaking about her supportive husband, she revealed, “Ram is my go-to man when I am hyper or having anxiety attacks. He calmly sits me down and says, ‘Okay, let’s figure it out.’ I am sure Ram will take an active part in parenting.” The mom-to-be is currently in her third trimester, with the due date expected to fall between July 16-22. Upasana plans to deliver the baby at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, which is owned by her family.
