Rajinikanth expressed his heartfelt appreciation in a Tamil post, saying, “I am deeply grateful to my political friends, colleagues in the film industry, friends, well-wishers, and media for their wishes for my speedy recovery after my recent hospitalization. A special thank you goes to my fans, whose boundless love and prayers have played a significant role in my well-being.”
Rajinikanth was admitted to the hospital on September 30 due to severe stomach pain. He underwent a non-surgical transcatheter procedure to address swelling in the main blood vessel leading from his heart, which successfully resulted in the placement of a stent in the aorta.
The actor’s daughter, filmmaker Soundarya Rajinikanth, visited the Tiruvottiyur Shri Vadivudai Amman Temple in Chennai to offer prayers for her father’s health and well-being.
Rajinikanth’s discharge comes just days ahead of the release of his highly anticipated film, “Vettaiyan.” Directed by TJ Gnanavel and produced by Lyca Productions, the film boasts a star-studded cast, including Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, and Abhirami. “Vettaiyan” marks several milestones: it’s Lyca Productions’ 30th film, Amitabh Bachchan’s debut in Tamil cinema, and Rajinikanth’s 170th project. The film is set to be released worldwide on October 10th.
Rajinikanth is also working on “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Sun Pictures. Although the release date has not been confirmed, there are rumors that Sivakarthikeyan may have a significant role in the film, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
