Rajinikanth and Thalapathy Vijay, stalwarts of the Tamil movie industry, have been adored by fans for their enduring contributions to cinema. Recently, a speculative episode arose during the audio launches of Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ and Vijay’s ‘Leo,’ where both actors used the ‘Crow-Eagle’ analogy in their speeches. This sparked rumours of a subtle clash between the icons.

In a bid to quash the misunderstandings, Rajinikanth addressed the issue during the audio launch of ‘Lal Salaam.’ He expressed his disappointment over the misinterpretation of the analogy, clarifying that it wasn’t directed at Thalapathy Vijay. Rajinikanth affirmed, “Both Vijay and I have mentioned that we only compete with ourselves, not each other. Vijay is someone who has grown up in front of me.”

Sharing a nostalgic incident from 1988, Rajinikanth recounted his encounter with a young Vijay on the sets of ‘Dharmathin Thalaivan.’ Vijay’s father, SA Chandrasekhar, introduced the aspiring actor to Rajinikanth, seeking advice. Rajinikanth advised the young Vijay to prioritize his studies, commending his subsequent disciplined and hardworking journey. He emphasized mutual respect, stating, “If I say Vijay is my competition, I lose my respect, and if he says Rajini is my competition, he loses respect.”

Rajinikanth urged fans to refrain from perpetuating fan wars, emphasizing the need for unity. Meanwhile, his upcoming sports drama ‘Lal Salaam,’ set to release on February 9th, features Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles, with Rajinikanth making an extended cameo.

On the work front, Rajinikanth is currently filming ‘Vettaiyan’ with director TJ Gnanavel, featuring an ensemble cast. He is also set to collaborate with Lokesh Kanagaraj for ‘Thalavar171.’

Thalapathy Vijay, busy with ‘The Greatest of All Time’ alongside director Venkat Prabhu, is gearing up for a promising venture. Both actors continue to captivate audiences with their distinct contributions to the dynamic world of Tamil cinema.
