Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the Indian actor and producer, has been vocal about her desire to see more Indian faces in Hollywood. She acknowledges that while inclusivity and diversity are important topics of conversation globally, there is still a dearth of Indian representation in the West, particularly in English language entertainment. Despite coming from one of the largest film industries in the world, Indian actors are still largely sidelined in Hollywood, according to Priyanka Chopra Jonas.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who has headlined shows with colour-blind casting, is credited with paving the way for Indian actors to make it big in Hollywood. She notes that Indian technicians are world-class and are hired by Hollywood for their expertise, yet Indian actors are still not given the opportunities they deserve. As a producer herself, Priyanka Chopra Jonas has taken it upon herself to helm stories that showcase Indian faces and talent to a wider audience.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas is currently headlining multiple projects, including the spy thriller series, Citadel, an American romantic comedy, Love Again, and the action film, Heads Of State. She is also developing multiple shows with Amazon Prime that not only star Indian faces but also have Indian faces, including women, behind the camera as writers and directors.

Despite facing obstacles and working hard for a decade to achieve equal opportunities with her male co-actors, Priyanka Chopra Jonas is not deterred from her dream of in fluxing Hollywood with brown faces. She believes that Indian actors are talented and deserving of a place on the world stage and that creating more opportunities for them is the solution to the skewed representation.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ Hollywood dream is to see more representation of Indian actors and to create more opportunities for them to showcase their talent. As a global icon and producer, she is taking responsibility for making her dream a reality by developing projects that highlight Indian faces and talent in front of and behind the camera.
