Prince Harry, also known as the Duke of Sussex, has arrived in the UK to attend the coronation ceremony of his father, King Charles III. His attendance was announced by Buckingham Palace last month, generating anticipation among royal enthusiasts. The Duke of Sussex’s arrival marks a significant reunion with the royal family after the release of his memoir earlier this year.

Prince Harry arrived in the UK on Friday, May 5, 2023, via a commercial American Airlines flight. The plane landed at London’s Heathrow Airport at 11:23 am, signalling the start of his brief visit. While Prince Harry will be present at the coronation ceremony, his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, will not be in attendance. The event will be live-streamed for the public.

This will be the first meeting between Prince Harry and his father, King Charles III, as well as other members of the royal family since the publication of his memoir, titled “Spare.” The Duke of Sussex’s visit is expected to be short, with him planning to leave within two hours after the ceremony. His swift departure is to ensure he can celebrate his son Archie’s 4th birthday, emphasizing the importance of family commitments.

During his stay in the UK, Prince Harry reportedly resided at Frogmore Cottage, the former residence he shared with Meghan Markle. Following the release of his explosive memoir, King Charles requested the couple to vacate the property. The memoir shed light on Prince Harry’s struggles and issues within the royal family, ultimately leading to his decision to step back from his royal duties and relocate to California.

Despite his attendance at the coronation ceremony, Prince Harry will not have any formal role as he is no longer a working royal. He will not participate in the grand procession behind the Golden State Coach, which will carry the newly crowned King and Queen Consort after the ceremony concludes at Westminster Abbey.

As Prince Harry embraces this significant family reunion, all eyes remain on the Duke of Sussex and his interactions with the royal family during this historic event.
