The excitement surrounding Prabhas‘ highly anticipated film, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,” continues to build as advance bookings have opened in select cinema halls in the USA. According to E-Times, the advance booking process has been initiated in some theatres, with full-fledged bookings expected to commence in the coming days.
Interestingly, when “Salaar” was initially slated for release on September 28, 2023, advance bookings had already been opened in international markets. Reportedly, over 13,000 tickets were sold in the USA, generating an impressive advance booking collection of Rs 3 crore. However, the film faced a postponement, leading to renewed anticipation among fans.
“Salaar” marks the collaboration of director Prashanth Neel, renowned for “KGF,” and Baahubali star Prabhas. Described as a revenge thriller with high-octane action sequences, the plot revolves around a gangster’s commitment to confront a criminal squad to fulfil a promise made to his dying friend. Shruti Hassan plays the lead female role, and Malayalam superstar Prithvi Raj Sukumaran also features in a pivotal role.
Recent reports hinted at the possibility of another postponement for “Salaar” to avoid a box office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki.” However, with the scheduled release of the “Salaar” trailer on December 1, speculations arise that the film is unlikely to face further delays.
“Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” is now set to hit theatres on December 22, setting the stage for a box office showdown with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Dunki,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featuring Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal in key roles. The clash adds to the anticipation and intrigue surrounding both blockbuster films.
