The anticipation for Nag Ashwin‘s directorial masterpiece “Kalki 2898 AD” is reaching unprecedented levels as the film’s team, including stars Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Rana Daggubati, and Amitabh Bachchan, achieved a historic milestone at the renowned Comic-Con event. Making waves in the entertainment world, “Kalki 2898 AD” became the first-ever Indian movie to feature at Comic-Con’s prestigious Hall H, typically reserved for launching Hollywood blockbusters, including those from Marvel and DC. Nevertheless, the audience was treated to a captivating glimpse of the sci-fi epic, which is now officially titled “Kalki 2898 AD.” The preview offered a sneak peek into the futuristic world, portraying Deepika and Prabhas as fierce warriors.
During the panel discussion, director Nag Ashwin revealed the immense effort put into the film’s creation. After four years of preparation, the team embarked on a two-year filming process to bring “Kalki 2898 AD” to life. Ashwin described the film as a unique fusion of mythology and sci-fi, proudly stating, “It’s still an Indian film at heart, it’s Indian mythology, our culture, from being a south Indian, from being Telugu, from being Indian, from being a fan of Star Wars, all of that love comes into this one thing. It’s a new kind of thing.”
“Kalki 2898 AD,” formerly known as Project K, is slated for release on January 12, 2024, in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and English.
