The highly anticipated film Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, is poised to make a remarkable box-office debut in India. Released on June 16, Adipurush brings the epic tale of Ramayan to the big screen. While the film has received mixed reviews, early estimates suggest that Adipurush is likely to achieve an impressive opening day collection of approximately Rs 95 crore in India alone.
Renowned trade expert Ramesh Bala revealed that Adipurush is expected to gross Rs 40 crore on its first day at the box office in the Hindi language alone. “Early estimates for #Adipurush Hindi for Day 1 is a huge ₹40 Crs Nett… All-India,” he tweeted. If the film manages to achieve this feat, it would surpass the opening day collection of Brahmastra, which earned Rs 36 crore in India.

However, Adipurush falls short of surpassing the opening day collections of films like Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which amassed Rs 57 crore, and the Hindi version of Yash’s KGF 2, which recorded an impressive opening of Rs 54 crore in India.
According to a report that Adipurush could achieve a box office collection of Rs 95 crore on its first day across all languages. The report highlighted that the film’s biggest collection came from the Telugu market, with an estimated collection of Rs 58.5 crore from the Telugu version alone.
Meanwhile, a report from Boxofficeindia.com suggested that Adipurush could approach the Rs 150 crore mark worldwide. “The final overseas numbers are yet to be confirmed, but the film has already earned ₹140 crores worldwide on its first day, and this number is expected to reach 150 crores when all collections are tallied on Saturday,” the report stated.
Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush features Prabhas in the role of Raghav, while Kriti Sanon portrays the character of Janaki. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan as Raavan.
