The much-anticipated film “Adipurush,” featuring Prabhas in the lead role, is generating immense excitement among fans and industry insiders alike. With its scheduled release on June 16, the film has become a hot commodity, attracting lucrative offers from distributors vying for its theatrical rights.
The Telugu states’ distributors are particularly eager to secure the theatrical rights for “Adipurush” due to the presence of Prabhas in the lead role. Earlier, People Media Factory made headlines by acquiring the Telugu states’ theatrical rights for an astounding Rs 170 crore. Now, as the release date draws near, the film’s producers are receiving even more enticing offers from distributors.
For “Adipurush” to be considered a success in the Telugu states, it needs to achieve a collection of Rs 121 crore as its share and approximately Rs 200 crore as its gross in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone. Whether the film will reach this milestone solely from the twin Telugu states remains to be seen, but the high demand for its theatrical rights suggests optimistic expectations from trade analysts.
To encourage a diverse audience to watch the film, People Media Factory’s distributors have taken an admirable step. They have decided to provide 10,000 complimentary tickets to government school children, old age home residents, and orphanages in Telangana. This philanthropic initiative aims to remove barriers such as age and financial constraints, ensuring that a wider range of viewers can experience the cinematic spectacle of “Adipurush.”
Notably, Global Star Ram Charan and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor have also joined in supporting the cause by sponsoring an additional 10,000 tickets for underprivileged children. Their contribution adds further momentum to the efforts of making “Adipurush” accessible to a broader audience.
In “Adipurush,” Prabhas portrays the character of Raghava, while Kriti Sanon essays the role of Janaki. The film, based on the Indian mythological epic Ramayana, also features Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh, Sunny Singh as Lakshmana, Devdatta Nage as Bajrang, and Vatsal Sheth as Indrajit. Sonal Chauhan and Trupti Toradmal have significant roles in the film as well.
With its star-studded cast, captivating storyline, and impressive pre-release buzz, “Adipurush” has become a highly anticipated film of the season. As fans eagerly await its release, the offers for theatrical rights continue to pour in, further indicating the tremendous anticipation surrounding the film’s box office performance.
