Pooja Hegde recently spoke about her previous movie, Cirkus, which failed to perform at the box office. Despite feeling disappointed, she views the experience as a learning opportunity. Cirkus, which starred Pooja alongside Ranveer Singh and Varun Sharma, was based on William Shakespeare’s play, The Comedy of Errors, and was directed by Rohit Shetty. Pooja admitted feeling upset about the film’s underwhelming performance, but she mentioned that working with Shetty and talented comedians such as Johny Lever and Sanjay Mishra was an excellent opportunity, and her performance in the film was well-received by audiences.
Pooja Hegde started her acting career with the Tamil film Mugamoodi in 2012 and made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. She has also appeared in other movies such as Acharya and Beast. Currently, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, a family-oriented film directed by Farhad Samji. In the movie, Pooja plays the character of Bhagyalaxmi, and the film also stars Salman Khan, Venkatesh Daggubati, Shehnaaz Gill, and more. The movie is set to release in theatres on April 21.
During an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Pooja mentioned that she received positive feedback from audiences for her performance in Cirkus. Although the film had negative reviews from critics and underperformed at the box office, she still considers herself a winner. “So overall, I think I came out a winner,” she said.
Pooja Hegde’s positive attitude towards her film’s failure is commendable, and it shows that she values her experiences, both good and bad, as an opportunity to learn and grow. Her upcoming film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, looks promising, and fans are eagerly waiting to see her in a new avatar.
