Lakshmi Manchu cannot stay quiet, especially when scammers try to trick her fans. The actress recently had her Instagram account hacked, and instead of panicking, she handled it with her trademark sass and humour.
Taking to social media (once she regained control, of course), Lakshmi warned her followers not to fall for any suspicious messages. “My Instagram has been hacked. Kindly do not engage with anything that is on my stories. If I need money, I will ask you directly, not on social media,” she wrote, keeping things real and adding a pinch of sarcasm that only she can pull off. She promised to tweet again once everything’s sorted on her end.
But that’s not the only emotional moment Lakshmi’s had lately. She recently reunited with her brother, Manchu Manoj, during a heartfelt surprise at a charity event she hosted. The reunion brought her to tears — literally. Fans were touched by the emotional breakdown, especially knowing the strain within the Manchu family, particularly between Manoj and their father, veteran actor Mohan Babu.
When asked about his sister’s emotional moment, Manoj light-heartedly said, “We hadn’t seen each other in a long time… it got too overwhelming for her.” Sibling bonds, right?
Professionally, Lakshmi’s been staying busy. She recently appeared in a supporting role in a show headlined by Vedhika, which is now streaming on JioHotstar. The series also features a stellar ensemble — Rahul Vijay, Ajay, Vadlamani Srinivas, Teja Kakumanu, Dayanand Reddy, and more.
And if you’re into fantasy, romance, and thrill? Check out Lakshmi’s last web series Yakshini. Directed by Teja Marni and written by Ram Vamsi Krishna, the Telugu-language show promises mystery, magic, and more.
Safe to say, hacked or not — Lakshmi’s still owning the spotlight.
