Renowned for her versatile roles on screen, Nayanthara recently intrigued fans with a mysterious social media post hinting at a new chapter in her career. The actress shared a picture of herself standing behind a film camera amidst a crew, captioned with an enigmatic message: “TRUST the MAGIC of New beginnings”.
Speculation has swiftly arisen among fans that Nayanthara might be gearing up for her directorial debut, marking a shift to a new role behind the camera.
In her acting pursuits, Nayanthara’s upcoming Tamil film “Annapoorani – The Goddess of Food,” directed by Nilesh Krishnaa, stands out. The movie features Jai in the lead role, marking their on-screen reunion after the 2013 film “Raja Rani.” The storyline revolves around Nayanthara’s character, Poorani, who hails from an orthodox Brahmin family but aspires to become a chef, breaking gender barriers in a male-dominated culinary industry. Her character’s journey also involves learning to cook non-vegetarian dishes, contrary to her family’s beliefs.
The film, set in Srinagaram near Trichy, boasts a stellar cast, including Karthik Kumar, KS Ravikumar, Sathyaraj, Redin Kingsley, and more. “Annapoorani” has been produced by Zee Studios in collaboration with Naad Studios and Trident Arts. The music for the film has been composed by Thaman S, with Sathyan Sooryan handling the cinematography.
Additionally, Nayanthara is also part of two other highly anticipated films: “Test,” helmed by S. Sashikanth and featuring Madhavan, Sidharth, Meera Jasmine, and more, and “Mannangatti Since 1960,” directed by Dude Vicky, co-starring Yogi Babu alongside the talented actress.
