Amidst the underwhelming performance of his recent films like “Custody” and “Laal Singh Chaddha,” South Indian actor Naga Chaitanya is all set to make his Telugu digital debut with the highly anticipated series, “Dhootha,” slated for release on Amazon Prime Video on December 1. Helmed by Northstar Entertainment, this supernatural horror thriller boasts an ensemble cast including Prachi Desai, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Parvathy Thiruvothu, among others, promising an enthralling and spine-chilling narrative for viewers.

Initially slated for a 2022 release, the series was reportedly put on hold before its announcement on the streaming platform. The first look, unveiling the eerie premise of inanimate objects wreaking havoc on individuals who commit deadly sins, has already piqued the interest of fans and critics alike, setting the stage for an engaging and suspenseful viewing experience.

In a recent interaction, Naga Chaitanya emphasized the significance of the global exposure that platforms like Amazon Prime Video offer, highlighting the unparalleled reach and accessibility that transcends geographical boundaries. Expressing his initial apprehensions about the horror genre, the actor underscored his commitment to channelling his personal experiences into the character of Sagar in “Dhootha,” infusing authenticity and depth into his performance.
