The Mumbai Police has taken action against an Indian student studying in the United Kingdom by issuing a lookout circular (LOC) after he allegedly sent threatening emails to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The accused, a third-year medical student from Haryana, is suspected of impersonating gangster Goldy Brar while sending threatening messages to the renowned ‘Dabangg’ star in March. Salman Khan, who has been a target of death threats in the past, recently shared his experiences of dealing with such incidents.
Speaking on India TV’s show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Salman Khan discussed the Y+ category security provided to him by the Mumbai Police in response to the death threat. The actor acknowledged that while security brings a sense of safety, it also limits his freedom. He mentioned that he is no longer able to ride a bicycle on the road or move around alone, and the increased security measures often cause inconvenience to others. Salman expressed concern for his fans and emphasized the seriousness of the threat, which necessitates enhanced security measures.
Admitting his fear of seeing “so many guns” around him, Salman stated that he is cautious and follows all instructions given to him. He quoted dialogue from one of his movies, “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan” (Someone’s brother, someone’s life), emphasizing the need for him to be lucky only once, while the threat perpetrators need to be lucky a hundred times. He expressed his belief in a higher power and acknowledged that he is constantly accompanied by tight security.
Salman Khan is currently working on the film ‘Tiger 3,’ in which he will be sharing the screen with Katrina Kaif. The highly anticipated movie is scheduled for a Diwali release.
The Mumbai Police’s issuance of a lookout circular against the Indian student in the UK reflects their commitment to investigating and addressing threats made against public figures.
