Mumbai Model Kadambari Jetwani Accuses YSRCP Leader of Sexual Harassment

In the wake of the impactful Hema Committee Report, which has stirred controversy within the Malayalam film industry and beyond, a new sexual harassment claim involving politicians has emerged.

Mumbai-based model Kadambari Jetwani has accused YSRCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar of sexual harassment. In an interview with a Telugu news channel, Jetwani presented “unsolicited” images sent to her by Vidyasagar as evidence of the harassment.

Jetwani detailed her experience, stating, “YSRCP representatives came to my Mumbai residence, where I was forcibly taken and cut off from all communication. My parents were jailed, leading to my father developing ear issues and my mother suffering from a heart condition. I received disturbing photographs of Vidyasagar in a state of undress. After the change in the Andhra Pradesh government, I decided to come forward with my story.”

The case gained additional attention following a separate legal matter involving Sajjan Jindal in Mumbai. It is reported that Jindal, seeking to resolve his case through YSRCP leaders, reportedly secured a settlement of Rs 5 crore. The case also implicated three IPS officers. Jetwani claimed that she was imprisoned for 45 days on false charges as part of this broader controversy.

In response to the allegations, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed his disapproval, stating, “The behavior of YSRCP leaders and such incidents are deeply disgraceful. It is alarming that scandals have become so frequent and casual. Such conduct by political figures is unacceptable. I take my image and credibility seriously and will address these issues with the appropriate seriousness and guidance.”
