Inspired by a real 19th-century tragedy, *Manichitrathazhu* tells the story of a young couple who move into a notorious haunted mansion. As they settle in, strange occurrences begin, particularly involving the husband’s cousin. They seek the help of a psychiatrist friend to uncover the mansion’s mysteries, leading to a gripping supernatural and psychological narrative.
The film features Mohanlal alongside Suresh Gopi and Shobana, with a supporting cast including Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Vinaya Prasad, K.P.A.C. Lalitha, Sridhar, K.B.
