The latest venture is being produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas, known for its association with Mohanlal’s successful projects.

The upcoming film, tentatively titled Aashirvaad Cinemas Production No 33, is slated to commence shooting in August 2023. Although further details about the film are yet to be revealed, the announcement of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s reunion has already generated immense excitement among fans. Their past collaborations have consistently delivered cinematic magic, making their partnership one of the most highly anticipated in Malayalam cinema.

Apart from their current work on the highly anticipated Ram, Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are also simultaneously working on the third instalment of the iconic Drishyam franchise. The franchise has garnered immense popularity, with both Drishyam and Drishyam 2 becoming massive successes, not only in Malayalam but also in various other languages through remakes. The filmmakers have a long-term vision for the franchise, planning to shoot Drishyam 3 alongside the Hindi and Malayalam versions, with a synchronized release across India. While Mohanlal will reprise his role as George Kutty in the Malayalam version, Ajay Devgn will portray the character of Vijay Salgaonkar for the rest of India. The Telugu producers of Drishyam are also considering joining this simultaneous release strategy.

Regarding the progress of Ram, Jeethu Joseph recently revealed that approximately 50 days of shooting are still pending for the film. The project features acclaimed actress Trisha Krishnan as the female lead. Divided into two parts, Ram is set to have a pan-Indian release, spanning Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages.

As fans eagerly await the release of Drishyam 3 and Ram, the news of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph reuniting for Aashirvaad Cinemas’ Production No 33 has intensified the excitement surrounding their collaboration.
