Kriti Sanon Dedicates Heartfelt Post to Mother as She Compares Her with Adipurush Character Janaki

Kriti Sanon, the talented Bollywood actress, recently took to her Instagram account to express her love and admiration for her mother, Geeta Sanon. In a heartfelt post, Kriti compared her character of Janaki in the upcoming film Adipurush with her mother. The post featured two photos, with one showcasing Kriti as Sita from Adipurush and the other displaying a younger Geeta Sanon.

In the caption accompanying the first photo, Kriti wrote, “Sita Maa… My Janaki.” The second image, featuring Geeta Sanon, had a note that read, “Geeta Maa… My Jaan.” Sharing the post, Kriti expressed her love for her mother, stating, “My Janaki and My Jaan… @geeta_sanon I love you my prettiest woman!”

Kriti’s post comes in the wake of a controversy involving Dipika Chikhlia, who portrayed the role of Sita in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic television series Ramayan. Dipika had made comments about a viral video in which Adipurush director Om Raut was seen giving Kriti a peck on the cheek at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati.

Dipika, in an interview with Aaj Tak, remarked, “Kriti is an actor of today’s generation, and in today’s time, kissing and hugging are seen as a sweet gesture. She never thought of herself as Sita.” Dipika went on to explain that when she played the character, she fully immersed herself as Sita, whereas modern actors consider it merely a role and do not carry it beyond the film.

The film Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is a cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana. Prabhas, the renowned actor, will portray the role of Raghav, while Kriti Sanon will bring Janaki to life. Saif Ali Khan has been cast as the antagonist, Ravana. With a reported budget of Rs 500 crore, Adipurush is considered to be the most significant film in Prabhas’ career. The mythological drama is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-series and Retrophiles. The film is set to release on June 16, 2023.

As the release date of Adipurush approaches, fans eagerly anticipate witnessing Kriti Sanon’s portrayal of Janaki in this grand cinematic spectacle.
