Karthi, the renowned actor in the South Indian film industry, recently shared an endearing anecdote about his brother, Suriya’s reaction to his debut film, “Paruthiveeran,” in an interview with Gautham Vasudev Menon. During the interview, Gautham Vasudev Menon inquired about Suriya’s response to Karthi’s debut film. Karthi shared that Suriya watched “Paruthiveeran” relatively late due to various commitments. Recounting the moment, Karthi mentioned that Suriya was moved by the film’s performance and embraced him, marking a significant and emotional moment in their relationship. Karthi expressed the depth of Suriya’s appreciation by quoting him, “What have you done!?”
“Paruthiveeran” is a 2007 romantic drama film directed by Ameer, featuring an ensemble cast that includes Priyamani, Ponvannan, Sampath Raj, Saravanan, and others. The film received critical acclaim and commercial success, with Karthi earning praise for his rugged and mature performance in his debut role.
On the professional front, Karthi’s latest film, “Japan,” hit theatres on November 10th, receiving mixed to positive reviews, with particular acclaim for Karthi’s performance. Meanwhile, Suriya is set to appear in Siva’s upcoming film, “Kanguva,” where he will portray multiple roles.
