In a major development, veteran actor Kamal Haasan has been confirmed as part of the highly anticipated film, Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin, renowned for his work in the critically acclaimed film “Mahanati.” With Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan already on board, Kamal Haasan’s addition to the star cast has further amplified the buzz surrounding the project. Moreover, his involvement has led to a significant increase in the film’s budget, which is now estimated to be a staggering Rs 600 crore.

The budgetary details of Project K have sent shockwaves through the industry. It is reported that Prabhas, the leading actor, will receive an impressive sum of Rs 150 crore for his role, while both Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are said to be earning Rs 10 crore each. Despite having a limited shooting schedule, Kamal Haasan’s remuneration for his involvement in the project is set at Rs 25 crore. However, these figures have not been officially confirmed by the producers, Vyjayanthi Movies.

Considered one of the most ambitious projects in recent times, Project K, helmed by Nag Ashwin, is a sci-fi movie that has generated significant anticipation. The director has made the unique decision to release the film in two parts, contributing to the film’s massive budget. The shooting of the entire movie has been completed in one go to ensure a seamless transition between the two parts. Currently, approximately 80% of the film’s shoot has been wrapped up, but significant VFX work remains, which is expected to take considerable time to complete.

The film’s release date has been scheduled for January 12, 2024. Industry insiders believe that with its stellar cast comprising Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and now Kamal Haasan, Project K has the potential to make a significant impact at the global box office. Prominent Telugu filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaj expressed his admiration for the film, suggesting that with effective promotion, Project K could potentially achieve a monumental day-one box office collection of 500 crores. After witnessing the filmmaking process firsthand on the sets, Bharadwaj commended Nag Ashwin’s craft and direction.

As excitement continues to build around Project K, fans eagerly await further updates from the makers and anticipate witnessing the grandeur of this ambitious sci-fi venture that aims to captivate audiences worldwide.
