Megastar Kamal Haasan he has had a remarkable career spanning over 64 years with over 232 films in six Indian languages. He started off as a child artist, long before he became a superstar. Haasan earned his stardom in the Malayalam film industry where he went on to star in over 40 films before moving onto Kollywood. He was equally successful in Bollywood.
His daughter Shruti Haasan penned an emotional note for her father and wrote, “Ups & Downs, Laurels & Challenges. He’s seen it all. But nothing can come between Ulaga Nayagan and his untiring effort to uplift the industry. The Unparalleled Emperor for 6 decades is stepping into his 64th year in Cinema.”

Talking about appreciation, Kamal Haasan has received numerous awards from Padma Bhushan, four National Awards, 19 Filmfare Awards, Chevalier award from the French Government to other innumerable and varied honours stand testament to his achievements. Other honors include the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, Nandi Screen awards and Vijay Awards.
On the work front, Kamal Haasan has a thrilling roster of upcoming projects on the horizon which includes Indian 2, KH233, KH234 and Project K.
