Jr NTR, gearing up for the much-anticipated release of his upcoming film Devara: Part 1, made a significant statement during a recent press meet in Chennai. When asked about his interest in Tamil cinema, the RRR star seized the opportunity to express his desire to collaborate with acclaimed director Vetrimaaran. Calling Vetrimaaran his favorite in Tamil cinema, Jr NTR eagerly proposed, “Vetrimaaran sir, please do a film with me. Let’s create a straight Tamil movie that we can later dub into Telugu.”
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time the possibility of a collaboration between Jr NTR and Vetrimaaran has surfaced. Vetrimaaran had previously acknowledged meeting Jr NTR post Asuran, discussing potential projects. Despite expressing mutual interest, Vetrimaaran cited prior commitments as a reason for delaying the collaboration.
Reflecting on his fondness for Chennai, Jr NTR shared nostalgic memories of his Kuchipudi training days in the city, emphasizing its sentimental value in his journey.
Additionally, Jr NTR showered praise on Devara’s director Koratala Siva and music director Anirudh Ravichander, hailing them as pivotal forces behind the film. With the movie inching closer to its release, Jr NTR conveyed his excitement and anticipation for the audience to experience the project.
