Samantha’s Relationship With Her Dad:

Recently, Samantha opened up about her “strained” relationship with her father in an interview. she shared how she had long sought his validation. “All my life, I had to fight for validation. My father was kind of like… I think most Indian parents are like that. They think they’re protecting you,” she said. She recalled a particular moment when he told her, “You’re not that smart. This is just the standard of Indian education. That’s why even you can get a first rank.” Samantha reflected, “When you say that to a child, I really believed for the longest time that I’m not smart and not good enough.”

In 2022, Joseph Prabhu shared throwback pictures from his daughter Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s wedding, even though the couple had already separated by then. Joseph posted the photos on Facebook, featuring Samantha in a white gown and Chaitanya in a black tuxedo, as they posed with family and guests. In his caption, he reflected on the past, writing, “Long long ago, there was a story. And it doesn’t exist anymore! So, let’s start a new story. And a new chapter!”

Joseph also took the time to respond to the supportive messages left by his followers in the comments section. Grateful for their kind words, he wrote, “Thanks for all your feelings. Yes, I sat down for a long time to overcome emotions. Life is too short to sit down with feelings and get bogged down.”
