Director Prasanth Varma‘s much-awaited original superhero movie, “HanuMan,” is generating high anticipation among audiences. Starring Teja Sajja in the titular role, the film has garnered significant attention, especially following the recent setback of Prabhas’ “Adipurush.” Today, the director thrilled fans by announcing the new release date for the film, which is set to hit cinema halls on January 12, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Sankranthi.
Taking to Twitter, Prasanth Varma shared a new poster of “HanuMan” along with the official release date. Initially slated for release on May 12, 2023, the film underwent postponements due to extensive work in filming, visual effects, and computer-generated graphics (CCG). The director aims to deliver the best possible output for this ambitious project. With its new release date, “HanuMan” has now joined the Sankranthi league, alongside other big-ticket movies like Mahesh Babu’s “Guntur Kaaram” and Ravi Teja’s “Eagle.” Mahesh Babu has consistently released his films during the Sankranthi period for the past three years, setting blockbuster records at the box office. The simultaneous release of these three highly anticipated Telugu films during Sankranthi is a matter of eager anticipation, although it may pose a challenge for theatre owners to accommodate them all.

Describing the film as his dream project, Prasanth Varma expressed his dedication to its success on Twitter, stating, “I have spent 2 years of my life on this film and ready to spend another 6 months to give you nothing but the best! #HANUMAN on JAN 12th, 2024, SANKRANTHI.” “HanuMan” is slated for a “Pan World” release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, showcasing its global appeal.
Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, “HanuMan” is rumoured to be the first instalment of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. Alongside Teja Sajja, the film features Amritha Aiyer as Meenakshi, Satish Kumar, and Raj Deepak Shetty in prominent roles. Produced by Niranjan Reddy under the banner of Primeshow Entertainment, the film is being presented by Chaitanya. The technical crew includes Shivendra as the cinematographer, Srikanth Patnaik R as the editor, and Anudeep Dev, Hari Gora, Jay Krish, and Krishna Sourabh as the music composers for “HanuMan.”
