Daavudi Song Set to Join ‘Devara’s Runtime: Jr NTR’s latest action drama ‘Devara: Part 1’ received an overwhelming response worldwide upon its release on September 27. Directed and written by Koratala Siva, the film features Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan in pivotal roles, marking Jr NTR’s second collaboration with Siva. By the end of its fourth day at the global box office, the film had grossed over Rs 304 Crore, nearing Rs 170 Crore in India.
When ‘Devara’ finally hit screens after a long wait, fans of the actor were disappointed that the mass masala duet song ‘Daavudi’ was excluded from the narrative due to runtime constraints. However, responding to fan demand and aiming to maintain audience engagement, the makers have decided to include the ‘Daavudi’ song in the movie. Reports suggest it will be added from October 5 onwards, with the goal of enhancing the film’s longevity at the box office and attracting repeat viewers.
The film “Devara” stars Jr. NTR in a dual role portraying Devara and Vara. Bollywood actors Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor made their debut in South Indian cinema with this Telugu film. Saif Ali Khan played the antagonist Bhaira, while Janhvi Kapoor portrayed Thanga, a key character with limited screen time. The ensemble cast also includes veteran actors such as Prakash Raj, Srikanth Meka, Shruthi Marate, Shine Tom Chacko, Murali Sharma, Narain, Kalaiyarasan, Chaithra Rai, Ajay, and Abhimanyu Singh. “Devara” was produced by Sudhakar Mikkilineni and Kosaraju Harikrishna under the banners of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts. R Rathnavelu served as the cinematographer, while A Sreekar Prasad edited the film. Anirudh Ravichander made his debut with “Devara,” delivering electrifying music and background score for Jr. NTR for the first time.
