Tamil star Vikram has been basking the success of his recently released film, Ponniyin Selvan 2. The Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus has grossed Rs 230 worldwide. Meanwhile, Vikram has been injured on the sets of his forthcoming film Thangalaan.
Reportedly, the actor was severely injured on the sets and was rushed to the hospital. Vikram got his ribs broken and would need complete rest; the actor informed his family. Vikram will be taking a break from the shooting of director Pa Ranjith’s pan-India movie. The doctors are going to perform surgery soon.
Thangalaan marks the first collaboration between Pa Ranjith and Chiyaan Vikram. The film features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Daniel Caltagirone and Malavika Mohanan in lead roles.
For the unversed, unlike PS1, the second part, PS2 was also dubbed and released in Hindi as well as Telugu. The first part in the franchise grossed over ₹500 crore at the box office globally during its theatrical run. In Tamil Nadu, PS1 went on to become the highest grossing Tamil film of all time.
