Chiranjeevi Achieves Guinness World Record for Most Prolific Star

Megastar K Chiranjeevi was awarded the Guinness World Records certificate on Sunday as the most prolific film star in the Indian film industry. A representative from Guinness World Records presented the certificate to Chiranjeevi at a ceremony. “The most prolific film star in Indian Film Industry – actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star achieved on 20 September 2024,” read the certificate issued by Guinness World Records.

Expressing his gratitude, Chiranjeevi remarked, “I never expected to receive a Guinness World Records title. Dance has been an integral part of my life throughout my film career.” He thanked everyone for the honor bestowed upon him. “Mega star Chiranjeevi has performed 24,000 dance moves in 537 songs across 156 films spanning 45 years. 22 September also marks the anniversary of his debut in the year 1978.”

Superstar Aamir Khan, sharing the stage with Chiranjeevi, expressed his admiration, saying, “I am a huge fan of Chiranjeevi garu. I see him as my elder brother. I was delighted to learn about this honor bestowed upon him. In every song, you can see his heart and passion.”

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu Congratulated Chiranjeevi in a Social Media Post, Stating, “My warmest congratulations to Mega Star and Padma Vibhushan awardee, @KChiruTweets Garu, on his remarkable achievement of being recognized by The Guinness World Records as the Most Prolific Film Star in the Indian Film Industry, Actor/Dancer. His unparalleled contribution to Telugu cinema, marked by grace and artistry, has brought immense pride to Telugu-speaking people worldwide. This recognition not only adds another feather to his cap but also celebrates his enduring legacy in the world of cinema.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy congratulated Chiranjeevi in a social media post, stating, “It is a matter of pride for Telugu people that popular movie actor Konidela Chiranjeevi has earned a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.”

Chiranjeevi, a top star in South Indian cinema, has acted in over 150 feature films across Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, and Kannada languages. His notable films include Rudra Veena, Indra, Tagore, Swayam Krushi, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Stalin, and Gang Leader. He was honored with the Padma Vibhushan earlier this year, India’s second-highest civilian award, alongside Indian cinema icon Vyjayanthimala, following his Padma Bhushan recognition in 2006.
