Urfi Javed, well-known for her stint in Bigg Boss OTT, recently faced an alleged harassment incident while travelling from Mumbai to Goa in the economy class of a flight. Taking to her Instagram stories on Friday night, the actress penned down a note recounting the distressing experience. According to her, some men on the flight made derogatory comments, engaged in eve-teasing, and resorted to name-calling.
In response to the appalling behaviour, Urfi confronted the men. However, one of them tried to dismiss their actions by claiming that his friends were drunk. The actress emphasized that being intoxicated should never be an excuse for misbehaving with women and asserted that public figures deserve respect and privacy.
Sadly, this is not the first time Urfi Javed has had to endure unpleasant comments. Known for her bold fashion choices, she often faces trolling on social media. In a recent interview with BBC World, Urfi expressed her frustration, stating that despite gaining popularity and fame, she has struggled to find work as people do not respect her. She acknowledged that she dresses to seek attention but clarified that it does not warrant mistreatment.
Addressing the trolls, she revealed that while their remarks do upset her momentarily, she quickly reminds herself that their negativity stems from their insecurities.
On the professional front, Urfi Javed is expected to make her Bollywood debut in Ekta Kapoor’s “Love, Sex Aur Dokha 2.” However, an official confirmation from the makers is yet to be made.
