Renowned South Indian actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, popularly known as Balayya or NBK, has a formidable career spanning almost four decades with over 100 films to his credit. Apart from his successful film journey, NBK has also made his mark in politics as an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly since 2014. With his recent box office hits, “Akhanda” and “Veera Simha Reddy,” crossing the Rs 100 crore mark, the superstar is now gearing up for his next venture.
Reports suggest that Balayya is joining forces with director Bobby Kolli, known for his superhit film “Waltair Veerayya” with Chiranjeevi. Sources reveal that the director is currently in the process of finalizing the female lead for the upcoming film. It is rumoured that actresses Rakul Preet Singh and Samyuktha Menon have been approached for prominent roles. While one of them will be selected as the lead, sources indicate a stronger possibility of Samyuktha being chosen due to Rakul Preet’s absence from Telugu films for a considerable period.
Samyuktha Menon has been on a successful streak with her recent films, including “Bimbisara,” “Bheemla Nayak,” and “Virupaksha,” all of which have been box-office hits. The actress’s impressive performances make her a strong contender for the lead role opposite Balakrishna in NBK109, the tentative title of the collaboration between NBK and Bobby.

Recently, the film’s makers unveiled a captivating poster that offers a glimpse into the film’s theme. The poster showcases a box filled with various weapons like knives, hammers, and axes, hinting at an action-packed storyline infused with Balakrishna’s distinctive style. Accompanying the image is the intriguing caption, “He is known to the world… but no one knows his world.”
Meanwhile, Balayya is currently busy shooting for “Bhagavanth Kesari” in Hyderabad. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal and Arjun Rampal in prominent roles. The teaser for the film was previously launched on NBK’s birthday, generating excitement among fans.
As the anticipation for NBK109 builds up, fans eagerly await the official announcement of the female lead and the unveiling of further details about the film, which promises to be another action-packed entertainer from the collaboration of Balakrishna and director Bobby Kolli.
