Baahubali Star Rana Daggubati Joins Rajinikanth’s Thailaivar 170

Thailaivar 170 saw a flurry of actors joining its ensemble cast, and now, Rana Daggubati's inclusion has taken the anticipation to new heights.

The excitement around Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, Thailaivar 170, continues to grow as more notable talents join the project. The latest addition to this star-studded venture is none other than Baahubali sensation Rana Daggubati.

Over the weekend, Thailaivar 170 saw a flurry of actors joining its ensemble cast, and now, Rana Daggubati’s inclusion has taken the anticipation to new heights. Lyca Productions, the production house behind the film, announced on social media, stating, “Welcoming the dapper & supercool talent Mr. Rana Daggubati on board for #Thalaivar170. #Thalaivar170Team has gotten even more charismatic with the addition of the dashing @RanaDaggubati.” Alongside the announcement, they shared a striking black and white poster of Rana, exuding his signature charm in a black suit.

Fans of Rana Daggubati couldn’t contain their excitement about this development. They took to social media to express their enthusiasm and hopes for the project. “They will set the screen on fire. @tjgnan sir, all the casting updates were too good. Now it’s all in your hands to give some extraordinary screenplay to entertain and engage with a proper storyline. Have huge hope for your team,” one fan wrote. Another fan exclaimed, “#RanaDaggubati in #Thalaivar170. What a value addition. Rana sir, we #SuperstarRajinikanth sir fans are eagerly waiting here. Before Rana Daggubati, Thailaivar 170 had already garnered attention with its impressive cast lineup, including Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan. Ritika Singh expressed her delight by tweeting, “Damn! I’m not even able to see through my tears right now. An opportunity to share the screen with Rajni Sir and the entire stellar cast and crew of #Thalaivar170 is straight out of my dreams, and I’m immensely grateful for this opportunity! What a moment!”

Adding to the excitement, Anirudh Ravichander, a well-known music director in the industry, has also joined the film as its music director. Anirudh has previously collaborated with Rajinikanth in “Jailer,” with Vijay in “Leo,” and most recently with Shah Rukh Khan in “Jawan.”

TJ Gnanavel, the director of the critically acclaimed Suriya-starrer “Jai Bhim,” will helm Thailaivar 170.

Rajinikanth, the legendary actor, and icon of Tamil cinema, has not only Thailaivar 170 but also Thailaivar 171 in the pipeline. Thailaivar 171 will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his successful films such as “Master,” “Kaithi,” “Vikram,” and “Leo.”

Rajinikanth’s last film, “Jailer,” directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, was a box office hit, crossing ₹650 crore in worldwide collections by mid-September. The film featured an ensemble cast, including Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, and Vinayakan. It also marked the Tamil debut of Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar and featured special appearances by Jackie Shroff and veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal.

The anticipation for Thailaivar 170 is undoubtedly growing, with fans eagerly awaiting more details about this exciting project.
