Asif Ali led Kasargold to release on September 15

Asif Ali starrer Malayalam Kasargold is one of the most anticipated films in mollywood. The film features a star-studded cast including Asif Ali, and Sunny Wayne in lead roles. It is the third Malayalam project from Yoodlee Films, the film studio division of Saregama India Ltd. , It is scheduled to hit screens on September 15, 2023.

The movie’s teaser, released in the second week of July, has already taken the industry by storm. “This is our third Malayalam film following Padavettu which was a very socially relevant subject set in rural Kerala and Kaapa which was an urban crime thriller. Kasargold is a thrilling, youthful movie, set in the northernmost district of the State. As evident from the teaser, it’s entertaining, it’s crowd-pleasing but at the same time very cleverly staged and written, both in terms of characterization as well as plot twists,” said Siddharth Anand Kumar, Sr. Vice President of Films & Events at Saregama India.

The movie will also mark Yoodlee Films’ collaboration with Asif Ali once again, following their successful partnership in Kaapa. Asif Ali stated, “Post the Covid-19 pandemic, the audience wants dynamism, fast-paced, big-screen entertainment. The term ‘theatre experience’ holds immense importance nowadays, and we believe that Kasargold will offer the audience just that apart from sheer thrill which only an immersive entertainer can provide.”

“While thinking of a story, I prefer my protagonist to be relatable. That’s the primary reason why Asif comes to mind because he brings a grain of truth to every performance of his. Additionally, we share a special vibe as we know each other well, which results in effective communication and yields good results,” said Mridul Nair, who has also penned the script along with Sajimon.

The film is co-produced by Mukhari Entertainment LLP, the cast of Kasargold includes P P Kunhikrishnan, Malavika Sreenath, Sreeranjini Nair, Sidhique, Sambath Ram, Deepak Purambol, Dhruvan, Abhiram Radhakrishnan and Sagar Surya. Vishnu Vijay is the music director of the movie.
