Aryan Khan’s D’YAVOL X faces backlash for overpriced ‘luxury streetwear’

Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, recently launched his clothing brand D’YAVOL X, and it quickly became the talk of the town. However, the brand faced severe backlash on social media for its exorbitant prices.

The brand, which offers a ‘luxury streetwear’ collection, launched its website on Sunday, and within a few hours, it crashed due to high traffic. However, when the website was finally accessible, customers were shocked to see the prices of the products. The lowest-priced product, a basic grey t-shirt called ‘Battle Worn,’ is priced at a staggering Rs 22,200.

The leather jacket worn by Aryan’s father, Shah Rukh Khan, is the most expensive product on the website, priced at a whopping Rs 2 lakh. With such high prices, it’s no wonder that netizens were disappointed and took to social media to express their dismay.

Many customers expressed their disappointment in the comment section of the official Instagram handle of the brand. One user wrote, “I think this davul is only for celebrities cos even if we sell our kidney we can’t afford nor can we dream of having it.” Another user joked, “Relax guys… agley wale round me Loan Bhi Milega. Kafi saste kapde Hai.”

The launch of the brand created a lot of buzz, with Aryan and Shah Rukh Khan breaking the internet last month when they launched the first teaser of the clothing line. However, the high prices of the products have left many people disappointed.

This backlash is not the first time a celebrity’s fashion line has faced criticism for being overpriced. Several other high-profile launches have also faced similar criticism in the past. It remains to be seen if D’YAVOL X will take note of the backlash and adjust its pricing accordingly.
