Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli visit the temple after IPL controversy

Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and Indian cricketer Virat Kohli were recently spotted seeking blessings at a temple. Their visit comes a day after Kohli got into a heated argument with Gautam Gambhir and Naveen-ul-Haq during an IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders on May 1 in Lucknow.

In a video shared by a paparazzo on Instagram, Kohli was seen dressed in a dhoti and shawl while Anushka wore a powder pink saree. The couple never fails to set couple goals and their temple visit was no exception.

Meanwhile, videos of Kohli’s argument with Gambhir and Haq during the match have been circulating on the internet. An eyewitness to the incident has spilt the beans on what was said on the field, with Kohli reportedly retorting to Kyle Mayers’ question of why he was constantly abusing their team, “Why were you staring at me?” Gambhir intervened, sensing that things could turn ugly, but the argument continued.

On the work front, while Kohli is busy with the ongoing season of IPL, Anushka Sharma is making a comeback after a five-year hiatus with the upcoming movie Chakda Xpress. The movie is a biopic based on the life of the former India women’s cricket player, Jhulan Goswami.
